For a personal project I need a model of the Duomo in Firenze. I could not find a proper one online so I was figuring out a way to recreate it myself. I remembered that as a child I had a paper model kit. It proves to be a very nice starting point.

High Heel Sandals

I’ve been working on some conforming high heel sandals for use in Daz3d. Currently in the process of getting them in the store.


Island

I was playing around with Unity to see what I could do with the engine. I always wanted my own Island, like the rest of all earthlings. So I dove in and this is the result up to now.

The terrain tools in Unity don’t work really well so I created the Heightmap in Geocontrol2, a unique application for making terrains. Takes a while to get used to it but in the end it proved to be very powerful.

If you like you can have a stroll on the island yourself. You do however need to install the Unity3d webplugin. It’s a web build so the graphics are a little toned down. Use WASD to move around and Space to jump.

I started on a scene which represents Utrecht in a future/fantasy setting. This is how far it is at the moment.

Motion Capture Test

Motion Capture Test
It’s been a while but I’ve been very busy. There are some really nice projects on the horizon but I will tell you about that later.

motekentertainment was kind enough to provide me with some motion capture samples. I needed to see how it would fit in a pipeline with cinema4d and the rigs I use. It is all connected through constraints which allows me to also keep control over the IK setup so it is very flexible. The mocap is pretty simple but I am confident it works like a charm if the motion is more complex.
